Statement in Response to Hate/Terror Acts

Thu, November 01, 2018 12:13 PM | Brandon Wilks (Administrator)

LSPA stands with colleagues and communities in Kentucky and Pennsylvania and with those across the nation as we all respond to acts of hate and terror. School psychologists are committed to fostering safe and accepting climates where everyone respects differences and honors the dignity of all people. Our hearts are heavy for the families and communities who lost loved ones and for all of the people who feel the ripple effects of hate and terror, but our resolve to prevent hatred, discrimination, and violence is strong. NASP offers resources linked below to help us: talk with children about traumatic or scary events, prevent and respond to bullying, build safe and accepting climates for the diverse students and families we serve, and advocate for policies that promote safety.
